Karen Montgomery's much-anticipated 2026 Brown Bag Mystery program - Two Step Tango - is almost here! If you're new to the program or need a refresher, keep reading below for important program details, dates, and a list of recommended products.
What is Brown Bag Mystery?
Brown Bag Mystery is an annual program exclusive to Sewposium shops. For those who like surprises, this program is the perfect way to treat yourself to several weeks of mystery fun! To participate, simply purchase a bag online or in-store based on the shown focal fabric. The remaining fabrics are a mystery until after purchase, but know that each bag has been carefully curated by the team at Poppy's with the finished quilt in mind.
Once you have your bag(s), you can join Karen Montgomery's private Facebook group and start prepping your fabrics with the included cutting instructions. Then, starting in mid-March, pieces of the pattern will be released every 2 weeks. Poppy's will mail these pattern "clues" to all of our bag purchasers on the following dates:
- March 21st
- April 4th
- April 18th
- May 2nd
- May 16th - the BIG Reveal!
The beauty of this program is that the final pattern will be revealed to you gradually over the course of several weeks. Along the way, you'll learn invaluable tips and tricks from Karen Montgomery via her private Facebook group and the wonderful community of participating sewists!
