Sewing Sewcial (May 1-May 31, 2026)

The Sewing Sewcial virtual shop hop is back again this year! Collect the pre-cut block kits you love in a larger 18" finished size. In honor of America's 250th birthday, the shop hop theme is patriotic. Blocks and quilts feature red, blue and white batiks with some fun accent colors added in. New this year each shop will be offering both a large and small finishing kit so you'll have 12 options to pick from. Hope you can join us on May 1st when the hop kicks off!

Poppy Quilt N Sew's

"Bulldawg"

With numerous Veterans in their family, Michelle proudly added Poppy’s as a Quilts of Valor shop when she took over 8½ years ago. This year’s Sewing Sewcial block is especially meaningful—it’s named in honor of those Veterans. Including Michelle’s sister, retired Lt. Colonel Margaret Sharpnack Powell, whose call sign inspired the block name "Bulldawg", and in memory of Michelle’s father, Phillip Sharpnack, a retired Vietnam Veteran.

Poppy's Exclusive Finishing Kit

PRIDE

Pride is available as a 22" x 22" single block setting or a 58" x 80" six block setting. The throw size Pride quilt would be awesome to keep for your home or to donate as a Quilts of Valor quilt. We have a couple of different border options and the finishing kit is pre-cut except for the borders/binding.

Beginning Monday, May 11th, each shop will go live on their Facebook page to invite you into their store, and help you get to know the faces behind the shops. We're always excited to showcase some of the creativity and uniqueness each shop has to offer, and make you fall even more in love with the small businesses you are supporting by participating in this event.
