🧵 Tamarack Pattern: The Tamarack jacket is available in two versions, sizes 0-18 and 14-30. The pattern is *required* for class, sold separately and can be purchased At Poppy's here. In addition to this pattern, you can purchase from Grainline Studio the corresponding pattern for a hood, collar, and patch pockets.
🧵 Required Pre-Class Work: It is a requirement to have your fabric for the Tamarack Jacket quilted before hand. However, Poppy's is offering discounted quilting for those taking the class to have your two fabrics quilted at Poppy's. This fee includes a quilting pattern of your choice from the .025-.03 cents pages and the thread charge. Fabric and batting are sold separately and available for purchase at Poppy's. If you choose to have Poppy's quilt your fabric for this class, please get it to us ASAP to ensure there is enough time to get it quilted before the class.
🧵 Tips For Fabric Purchase: When you are picking fabric for your jacket please keep in mind how important it is to have the right yardage for quilting. The Jacket can be made reversible (two different fabrics) and the binding can be the same fabric or an alternate fabric can be picked out. For the pattern, you need 3 yards each of the lining fabric and outer fabric, plus an additional 3/4 yard each of the inside binding and outside binding (a total of 7-1/2 yards). *IMPORTANT* Not to use directional fabric for this jacket, you need additional fabric in that case and will have to make adjustments throughout the project.
